Getting Ready for Middle School is for incoming 6th grade students. This will be filled with information to help you with your transition to Parkview and is designed to alleviate any unnecessary anxiety!
Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Tour of Parkview
- Supplies needed
- Organizing your locker
- Opening your locker
- Technology Tips
- Lunch Policies & Procedures
This course will help your child understand what middle school is all about and answer other commonly asked questions. Above all, this course is highly recommended by former 6th-grade students!

Getting Ready for Middle School: Registration Instructions
Follow the steps below to register your 5th grade student for the Getting Ready for Middle School summer session.
Step 1: Sign In
Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
Step 2: Select Your Student
At the top of the page, choose your 5th grade student from the student menu.
Step 3: Open Forms
In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Forms.
Step 4: Find the Form
Scroll down to the Summer School section and select Getting Ready for Middle School.
Step 5: Submit Your Registration
Choose your preferred session and click Submit to complete the registration.
