Nordic Ski Team

 WHAT IS ANST?

The Ashwaubenon Nordic Ski Team was created in 1998 as a competitive club racing in the Wisconsin High School Nordic League. The high school and middle school programs train together, primarily at the Reforestation Camp during the snow season, and race regularly all over the state of Wisconsin and in Michigan’s U.P. Nordic skiing is not a WIAA sanctioned sport in Wisconsin. For that reason, the team is open to other high school and middle school skiers. The club’s goal is to promote life long fitness and friendly competition through Nordic skiing. No matter what the level of technical skill a team member begins with, regular skiing and coaching give skiers an opportunity to challenge themselves physically and to learn with their peers. Athletes typically finish the season fitter than ever before and have that advantage in their spring sports.
